ABS Filament
ABS is a tough, impact-resistant filament that handles higher temperatures than PLA and PETG. It is a common choice for industrial applications and functional parts, but it needs a heated bed and ideally an enclosure, because the material tends to warp. We stock 23 ABS products in 17 colours, from 125 SEK per kilo.

Which ABS should you choose?
Classic ABS (from 125 SEK) can be sanded, glued and post-processed, which makes it a good choice when a part needs to look finished. Transparent ABS (from 125 SEK) gives semi-clear parts with the same toughness. Glass fibre (from 289 SEK) and carbon fibre (from 325 SEK) reduce shrinkage and give stiffer, more dimensionally stable parts with a matte surface.

Frequently asked questions about ABS
ABS shrinks as it cools. Use a heated bed at 90–110 °C, avoid draughts and ideally print in an enclosure. Our guide to stopping warping goes through the fixes one at a time.
With us, classic ABS costs from 125 SEK per kilo, transparent from 125 SEK, glass fibre from 289 SEK and carbon fibre from 325 SEK. Prices are for a 1 kg spool including VAT.
ABS is harder (60 MPa versus 53 MPa) and withstands higher temperatures, but PETG is much easier to print and needs neither an enclosure nor as hot a bed. If the part is going outdoors, ASA is a better choice than either.
Yes, ABS sands and glues well, which makes it a good material when the surface needs to be smooth and the part should look finished.
