Premium quality from the raw material up

Made from Luminy® LX175 — world-class bioplastic from TotalEnergies Corbion

The quality of a filament is decided before it is ever extruded. That is why all our PLA filaments — PLA, PLA PRO and PLA Silk — are made exclusively from Luminy® LX175, a premium polymer from TotalEnergies Corbion, one of the world's leading producers of biobased PLA.

LX175 is an odour-free PLA grade with high purity and consistent viscosity. That means a stable melt during extrusion — which you notice as consistent diameter, reliable layer adhesion and prints of the same high quality, spool after spool.

From sugarcane to finished filament

1 Sugarcane field

Renewable farming

Sugarcane captures CO₂ from the atmosphere as it grows and can be harvested year after year — no crude oil needed.

2 Luminy LX175 PLA pellets

Luminy® LX175 polymer

The sugar is fermented into lactic acid and polymerised into high-purity PLA pellets at TotalEnergies Corbion.

3 3D-printed PLA Silk vase with flawless layers

Flawless prints

The pellets are extruded into filament with consistent diameter and reliable quality — visible in every layer of your finished print.

Lower environmental impact — from farm to end of life

Unlike fossil plastics, LX175 begins its life cycle as growing sugarcane that captures CO₂ from the atmosphere. The raw material is renewable, GMO-free and responsibly farmed to the Bonsucro standard for sustainable agriculture. The result is up to 85 % lower carbon footprint than conventional, oil-based plastic.

The material is a better choice at the end of its life too: PLA made from Luminy® LX175 is industrially compostable per EN 13432, giving your prints a circular path back to nature instead of becoming persistent plastic waste.
